Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 July 2026

These terms apply to your use of Not another Noah (notanothernoah.com), including all free features and any purchases you make on the site, whether digital or physical.

1. The data on this site

Not another Noah displays baby name popularity data sourced from official government records (ONS for England & Wales, SSA for the United States, and state birth registries for Australia). While we take care to present this data accurately, all information on this site is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

Choosing a baby name is one of the biggest decisions you'll make, and ultimately, it's yours. We provide data to help, but we take no responsibility for playground complaints, family arguments or future therapy bills.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any data shown. Official records are updated periodically and our dataset may not reflect the very latest figures. Australian data in particular covers a subset of states and territories with varying year coverage (see section 8 below).

2. Purchases

We currently offer three digital products and one made-to-order physical product:

3. What you are buying

Name report. A digital document containing data-backed arguments about a baby name, drawn from official ONS (England & Wales), SSA (United States) and state registry (Australia) birth registration data. It is delivered instantly in your browser after payment.

Partner ranking. A shareable link you send to your partner. Each of you ranks the shortlisted names independently; once both rankings are submitted the site reveals your best match. The link is generated instantly after payment.

Veto. A hosted page that dramatically announces a “VETO” on a specific name. You may add your name (optional) and a short message. It is delivered as a signed shareable link, generated instantly after payment, which you then share with your partner yourself.

Personalised tote. A premium natural-cotton tote bag, machine-embroidered on the front with the text and thread colour you choose in the customiser. It is a made-to-order physical product, produced and shipped by our third-party print-on-demand fulfilment partner. You may order a single tote, or a pair (for example one for each parent), each with its own text and colour.

4. Price

The name report and veto each cost £3 (GBP) / $3 (USD) / $5 (AUD). The partner ranking costs £5 (GBP) / $5 (USD) / $10 (AUD). The personalised tote costs £29 (GBP) / $29 (USD) per tote, or £49 / $49 for a pair, with worldwide shipping included. The price shown at checkout is the total amount charged. There are no recurring payments or subscriptions.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. By completing the checkout you agree to Stripe's terms for the transaction.

6. Delivery

Digital products. The name report, partner ranking and veto are delivered immediately on purchase (the report appears in your browser; the partner ranking and veto links are available to copy and share straight away). None of the three are eligible for refund under our standard terms.

Personalised totes. Totes are made to order after payment and are produced and dispatched by our third-party print-on-demand partner. Production and delivery times vary by destination; as a guide, most orders arrive within around one to two weeks. These timescales are estimates, not guarantees. We will email to confirm your order and, where available, provide tracking. See section 10 for personalisation and returns.

7. Name report — how it works

When you purchase a name report you receive a signed shareable link, and a confirmation email containing the same link for your records. Opening the link renders the full report in your browser. You may share the link with your partner — they do not need to pay separately to view it. The link remains valid for as long as you keep it, but the report reflects the dataset available at time of purchase and is not updated when new data is published.

8. Partner ranking — how it works

When you purchase a partner ranking you receive a unique link. Your partner opens the link, sees the shortlisted names in a random order, and submits their own ranking. No account or payment is required from your partner. Once both rankings are in, the site calculates and displays your best match.

The link is personal and should only be shared with the intended recipient. The link and results remain available for 90 days from creation; after that the link will no longer work.

9. Veto — how it works

When you purchase a veto you receive a shareable link. The sender name and short message you enter are embedded in that link and will be visible to anyone who opens or forwards it. We don't store the message content on our servers — it lives inside the signed URL itself. The link remains valid for as long as you or your recipient keep it.

10. Personalised totes — made to order, personalisation & returns

Made to order. Each tote is embroidered specifically for you after you order, based on the text and thread colour you submit. Production and fulfilment are carried out by a third-party print-on-demand partner, who receives the delivery name and address you provide at checkout solely to produce and ship your order.

Your personalisation. You are responsible for the text you submit, including its spelling, punctuation and accuracy. We embroider the text as you provide it and do not correct or alter it. The on-screen preview is an approximate representation; the exact size, position and thread shade of the finished embroidery may vary slightly.

Product images. Photographs and promotional images of the totes across the site are for illustration. Some images — such as the thumbnail shown alongside a name — display the embroidery enlarged for legibility and are not to scale. The preview inside the tote customiser is our closest representation of the finished embroidery's size and placement, and is the version to rely on when placing your order.

Acceptable content. Personalised text must not be offensive, unlawful or hateful, and must not infringe anyone's rights (including trademarks or the names or likenesses of third parties). We may refuse or cancel any order whose personalisation we consider unsuitable, and will refund it in full if we do.

Returns and cancellations. Because the totes are personalised and made specifically to your order, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and cannot be returned or refunded simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your legal rights in respect of goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described. If your tote arrives faulty, damaged or materially different from what you ordered, contact us within 30 days of delivery at hello@notanothernoah.com with a photo and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

11. Data accuracy

Data shown on this site and in purchased reports reflects the following snapshots at the time of viewing or purchase:

Purchased reports are not updated when new data is published. Calculated figures such as classroom clash probabilities are statistical estimates based on the available data and should be treated as approximate.

All data, whether shown freely on the site or in purchased reports, is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice of any kind.

12. Intellectual property

All content, design and copy are owned by Not another Noah. You may share report, ranking and veto links freely but may not reproduce or resell the content.

13. Liability

All content on this site, including free data and purchased products, is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Not another Noah and its operator shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expense arising from your use of or reliance on any data or content on this site, whether free or purchased. In any event, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
